Here I am in my newly acquired swim cap. I broke down and bought one. I've only used it once. It makes me feel lighter for some reason. Not all that heavy hair to bog me down, I guess.
I think it's just three more weeks left at the local pool for lap swim. I hope we'll be able to find another pool that's year round. My cousin-in-law mentioned one in Lodi that's indoors.
Also, oh my gosh! I just went over to the Austin City Limits page to tell you what place Quiet Company ended up in and... the DIDN'T make it to the top 5! ): No way! They were top one and two but they didn't make it. My day is ruined. I'm sure they are so sad over there. I posted a video and everything! So, so, so sad. They missed 5th place by a little over 200 votes.
I'm sorry Taylor and Leah Muse (and the rest of the guys in the band).

Last request?
Hopefully that video works. (: You'll be able to see the adorable couple I mentioned before.
So Joam leaves for Hawaii in 11 days. He'll be gone for 3 months.
In other news... what happened to Judge David Young? There was some judge karen on today instead and I'm freaking out.

16 votes in the lead
There's a few more days of the Austin City Limits contest and Quiet Company is only 16 votes in the lead! ahhhhhhhhhhh, how crazy. Now I can see why Leah (pronounced lay-ah, like in Star Wars) was saying the competition is stressful.
As for me, I'm searching for a part time job to supplement my income. Anyone know of something I can do in the mornings until 2pm? Preferably in the Elk Grove area. Preferably not in the arena of food preparation or serving. (:
I'm off to apply at wal-mart. Think they'll let me be a greeter? (:

Keep voting!
So my request for votes may have backfired. Quiet Company is now in second place. ): If they win they will get to play at/on Austin City Limits. How many of you have flipped through the channels and stumbled upon a band playing that show? ME! Well then, you must, as I have just done three times, vote! Whether or not you vote, take a second to listen to Quiet Company's music. It's very good (and clean!). http://www.myspace.com/quietcompany
In other news... Here is what my life is like currently:
Sundays, either sleep in or go the family gathering for "Waffles"
Mondays, sleep in... do laundry, maybe swim some laps
Tuesdays, sleep in... drive to Roseville, teach scrapbooking to kids in Roseville's after school program, maybe swim some laps
Wednesdays, sleep in... hang out with cousin and her cute baby, maybe swim some laps
Thursdays, sleep in... drive to Roseville, teach scrapbooking to kids in Roseville's after school program, maybe swim some laps
Fridays, sleep in... no plans, maybe swim some laps
Saturdays, wake up at 8am, leave the house by 9am, drive to West Sacramento to work at the Scrapbook Addict from 10am until 6pm, then find some dinner
Yeah, that's pretty much all I do these days. I've kind of resorted back to hermit life. Which I almost never get out of completely. I'd like to wake up early again and walk in the mornings. But lately with the schedule I've been keeping I can't fall asleep before 2am anymore. Boo! The pool in Galt will be closing soon so I'll be out of a pool to swim in.
My hubby leaves for Hawaii in a few weeks. On the 23rd, to be exact. My goal while he's gone is to play more and lose weight. I dusted off my mom-in-law's old juicer and am wanting to do more of that. The only recipe I've made so far is one with granny apples and carrots. I may check out the library for juicing books.
Ok, I'm off to find my friend Brittany so I can cancel a swim pass for Elk Grove that I haven't been using. Tah-tah!

Please vote
Hello there friends and family. I have a request. A great guy (who is married to a great girl) is in a great band and they are in a contest right now. Please take a moment now to place a vote for them. I have voted a few times with a few different emails that I have. I have not received a single piece of junk mail from them.

Check out the links provided above. They truly are great people.

updates
Hello... Here's an update from my uncle regarding my cousin who went in for surgery on Sept 3rd. It had something to do with him having Osteogenesis Imperfecta and his bones not making room for his organs. (in a nutshell)
Today around 1:30 They took the ventilator off.
They turned his medications down low so that he would wake up and be able to breath on his own first. As soon as he was alert he wanted the tubes out of his mouth. After they took the tube out of his mouth he was able to talk. Complaining about being thirsty and hungry. Mainly thirsty.
We know that God is hearing prayers and healing him.
We ask to continue praying now for his nausea to go all away and that they can take more of the IVs off and the central line in his chest.
Also... for those of you who are Scrapbookers in Action!!!!! When's our next race? I say the October 5th, Cowtown Race. What about training? Races are expensive but training doesn't have to be! Well, except for the price of gas, you know. :P My first suggestion is one that Helen made: let's meet at the park by the sac zoo on Sunday mornings. Not too early though! What about 10am? Ok... now I want to hear yeahs or nays. And/Or other suggestions. We have to meet somewhere central to Galt, Elk Grove, South Sac, and wherever it is that A. is from! (:
Even if we don't do a race, lets get together (yeah, yeah, yeah) and get to steppin'!
