***copied from my xanga, so if you read it there... don't bother reading it here! (:***
so i officially started my tri training... FINALLY!
on monday i met my friend, jodi (who is a swimming coach) and we swam laps. i couldn't do more than one lap without taking a breather! she said i was an excellent swimmer, but i think she was just being nice. (: i felt like i was flailing about trying to get to the other side of the pool! after a few laps i wouldn't be able to make it all the way to the side of the pool so i just turned over and swam the back stroke the rest of the way. it was a lot of fun. all ready, just by talking about the experience we've gained more people who want to either do the race with us or at least join in the training!
my goal is to go swimming on mondays for sure and maybe a few extra times here and there.
oh, in other news... we weren't able to keep the kitten so another wonderful family has been found to take Kava. very sad subject, but all for the best.

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love? Measure in love.
Seasons of love.
1525,600 minutes!
525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes - how can you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned, or the way that she died.
It's time now to sing out, though the story never ends let's celebrate,
remember a year in the life of friends.
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Measure in love.
Seasons of love!
Seasons of love.
I refused to see the musical RENT because it had *gasp* "objectionable" material. I am so glad I finally gave in. It's so beautiful and passionate.
It's on tv right now.
I have more free time now that I have quit my "day job" and I LOVE it!!!! I will be training for my triathlon soon, any day now. I'm excited and scared. /:

breath
sooooooo, I am no longer working during the day for the sign shop. I am looking forward to sleeping in every day this week and then starting up my triathlon training next week. Hopefully I'll have more time to post online and all that jazz.
My hubby and I are about to embark on the awesomeness that is moving back in with my mom-in-law. It is a good thing and shouldn't last much longer than Dec of this year. Last time we lived with her it ended up being for a whole year.
What else? We had a scrapbook retreat which was awesome (what I saw of it). I worked at the store so the owners and such could partake of the event.
I worked at the store friday 10am until 8pm, enjoyed the retreat from 8:30pm until 2am. slept. then worked at the store saturday from 9am until 3pm, then babysat for my cuz-in-law (which turned out to be awesome) until 9pm or so, then ran home to say howdy to the hubby and then back to the retreat from 10:30pm until midnight... slept, then enjoyed the last moments of the retreat on sunday from 9am until noon.
crazy, i tell ya! let me see if i have any pictures handy...
This is all I could find... it's the group photo... though it's missing me and Robin (with an i). The cute lady in the front row with her finger up her nose... that's Patricia. She's digging for gold in honor of me. Isn't that sweet? She knew that's exactly what I would have done. (:

I love wheat thins
I just finished my 6x6 swap entry for the girl themed swap this month. I will post pictures once they have all been traded out and I have my complete 10 two page layout 6x6 album. (:
I really want this blog to be more focused on the "crafty" things I've been accomplishing, I just finished (officially) a baby blanket I had crocheted for baby Isabella. I forgot to get a photo, I'll have to email the parents to get one so I can post it here!
I need a really catchy closer...
that's all for now!
no, too cheesy. I'll have to think about it more.

Shamrockin' Race
I'll write more, but here's some photos:
Ok, here are my stats! My chip time is 1 hour 4 minutes and 49.9 seconds, My "gun" time is 1 hour 5 minutes and 11 seconds.
I placed 1246th out of 1269 of the 5k racers! Not last! WOO HOO!
I placed 207th out of 208 of the 20-29 year old 5k racers! (: again, not last!
They calculated that I was averaging 20 minutes 55 seconds a mile, not bad.
We were just walking to finish. I had a great time. Thanks ladies!
(be on the lookout for my photo of me crossing the finish line!)

Cora's other side...
haha. just so you know, this blogspot blog is pretty new for me. I have another one I've had for YEARS over here: www.xanga.com/cora_lynn. I like it because a lot of my friends from Texas use it and it's easy to read everyone's updates at once.
Here are some other places I write on occasionally:
In other news... here's an awesome picture of the best ever mom-in-law:

"The only thing that doesn't change is that things change"
So, I'm walking the 5k instead of running, but that's ok because I'll be walking with friends! Adrien, Robyn, and Helen are all walking the Shamrock'n Race, too! I'm super excited. I'm hoping to do one race a month. The next one I'm looking at will be at the Sacramento Zoo, and then there's the March of Dimes in April, too.
In other news, I'm moving on up... to the east side... of a deluxe house with my mom-in-law. (I use the term mom-in-law, instead of mother-in-law, because mine is awesome. I call my mom, "mom" and not mother, I don't know why the difference is so important to me, but it is)
That's right, my husband and I will be moving back to Galt, CA to live with her while she helps us get out from under our mountain (molehill?) of debt. It's still unbelievable to me that after ten years of owing someone money I may not owe anyone (at least formally! haha).
I'll hopefully have more time to myself once we move back there so I'll get back into crafting...ie, scrapbooking and knitting and crochetting.
Let me leave you with a photo:
me and my hubby at gma-in-law's birthday this past december.I've been missing my camera ever since being back from the Texas trip. I got the photos some how and left the camera somewhere. :/
